Right Form of Verb

 

1.      Present Indefinite Tense

a)      eZ©gv‡b †Kvb KvR ev NUbv eySv‡j (Present action or event) :

Ex: We read tense.

        He learns his lessons.

b)      Af¨vm ev ixwZbxwZ eySv‡j (Habits & customs) :

Ex: Babu goes to school regularly.

The Muslims say prayer five times daily.

c)      wPiš—b mZ¨ (Universal Truth) :

Ex: Ice floats on water.

d)     Usually, regularly, generally, often, naturally, normally, daily, every day, every week,  every month, every year, every Friday (name of any day), every Eidday (name of any festival ), Twice/ Thrice a week/ month/ year, BZ¨vw` word ev phrase _vK‡j|

Ex: We visit our relatives every Friday.

e)      Abyôvbm~Px ev mgqm~Px D‡j­L Kivi mgq Present Indefinite Tense e¨envi Kiv hvq|

Ex: The cricket match begins at 9 O’clock.

                   Our exam commences on Thursday.

2.      mKj Model Auxiliary Verbs (may, might, must, will, would, shall, should, can, could, have to, be to need, dare to, be going to, ought to, had better, would rather) Gi ci Verb Gi Present Form nq|

Ex: I am going to open a bank account.

       We should try our level best to stablish a school in our locality.

3.      Desire, promise, decide, dare, want, refuse, expect, wish, make, need, bid, hear, feel, behold, watch, let BZ¨vw` verb ¸‡jv †Kvb Sentence -G _vK‡j, Gici Verb Gi Present Form nq

Ex: He made me do the work. (Active)

      I was made to do the work. (Passive)

4.      First Conditional Sentence Gi †¶‡ÎÑ

 If + Present Indefinite + Past Indefinite .

Ex: If you read, you will learn many things.

5.       Present Indefinite            since/ as though/ as if                Past Indefinite.

Ex: The man behaves as if he were a comedian.

It is six year since I passed H.S.C.

VERB Gi  PAST FORM

1.      Past Indefinite Tense

a)      AZxZ wb‡`©kK kã _vK‡j: Once, once upon a time, one day, ago, long ago, long time ago, yesterday, last week/ month/ year/ Friday/ Eidday etc.

Ex: They went to visit their village home last week,

       Once upon a time there was an old man.

b)      It is time, It is high time, It is proper time GBme clause †Kv‡bv Sentence G _vK‡j:

Ex: It is high time our politicians changed their character.

c)      AZxZ Af¨vm eySv‡Z :

Ex: I got up early regularly when I read in primary school.

2.       Past Indefinite                 since/ as though/ as if              Past Perfect,  

Ex: The man spoke as if he had been Socrates.

3.      After, before Gi †Kvb cv‡k past perfect _vK‡j, Aci cv‡k Past Indefinite or Verb Gi Past Form e‡m:

Ex: I did the work after I had been informed.

      They had been encouraged before they started the adventure.

6.      Second Conditional Sentence Gi †¶‡ÎÑ

 If + Past Indefinite + (Sub + would/ could/ might + Verb Gi Present Form) .

Ex: If you helped me, I would help you.

VERB Gi  PAST  PARTICIPLE  FORM:

1.      All Perfect Tense:

a)      Present Perfect Tense: †Kvb Sentence G Just, Just now, lately, recently, already, ever, never, yet BZ¨vw` Word ¸‡jv _vK‡j Present Perfect Tense nq|

Ex: I haven’t visited India yet. Teacher has reached just now.

b)      Past Perfect Tense: AZx‡Z `yÕwU KvR msNwUZ n‡j  A‡c¶vK…Z c~‡e©i KvRwU  Past Perfect Tense G n‡e Ges c‡iiwU Past Indefinite Tense G n‡e|

Ex: We started right form of verb after we had read tense and voice.

       We had reached school before the bell rang.

Ex: We will have finished our syllabus before the exam starts.

2.      To have ( have, has, had, having) Verb & 'to be' Gi ci:

Ex: Having written the letter I posted it.

      He wanted the picture to be seen.

3.      Passive Voice G —

Ex: The thief was arrested yesterday.

Ex: No sooner had I known her whereabouts than I met her.

       Hardly/ Scarcely had the assembly begun when/ before they reached there.

5.      Third Conditional Sentence Gi †¶‡ÎÑ

 If + Past Perfect + (Sub + would have/ could have/ might have + Verb Gi Past Participle Form) .

            Ex: If I had had money, I could have helped the poor old man.

VERB Gi  ing  FORM:

1.      All Continuous & Perfect Continuous Tenses:

a)      Present Continuous Tense:

Ex: We have been reading Tense for three days.

Ex: I went there while you were enjoying the game.

Ex: I will be enjoying movie in the evening.

2.      Preposition Gi c‡i ( Verb + ing ) [** e¨wZµg: 'to' Gici (verb+ing) nq bv| wKš‘, Phrase Gi 'to' Gici nq| †hgb: with a view to, look forward to, addicted to, get used to, be used to, prefer to, devoted to, would mind, can't help, couldn't mind, feel like etc.

Ex: I like to go to market.

I feel like having a cup of tea.

I went with a view to meeting you.
